Mahanoy City firefighters prepare to remove one man from his pickup truck after it collided with an SUV at the intersection of Route 54 and the Frackville-Morea Highway in Mahanoy Township around 2 p.m. Friday. The man inside the piclup truck and three adults and a child in the SUV all suffered varying degrees of injuries, MAhanoy Township Police said. At least one of the victims was flown to a trauma center by a medical helicopter that landed at the State Correction Institute-Mahanoy. Mahanoy City firefighters, EMS and fire police assisted along with Ryan Township EMS and Coaldale ALS assisted at the scene. Police said they are continuing their investigation.
