FRACKVILLE (SCHUYLKILL COUNTY), PA: On November 7, 2010 at 13:15 hours the Frackville Fire Department (Goodwill Fire Company) and Frackville Ambulance were dispatched to 10 West Oak Street for a car into a structure. Frackville Police arrived on location and found a passenger vehicle into the front window of a bagel shop. It was then confirmed the driver was out of the vehicle and not injured.
Goodwill Hose Engine 43-10 and Ambulance 43 arrived staged across the street of the building. Engine 43-10 sent its crew into the restaurant to inspect for interior damage. A number of tables in side the restaurant were pushed away from the new opening in the wall. Two windows were broken and the exterior wall was pushed into the restaurant. Fire fighters examined the damaged wall for cut electrical wiring or other dangerous hazards. The vehicle had severe front end damage but was able to drive away from the building.
The driver refused medical care and transportation by the Frackville Ambulance. Fire fighters secured the hazardous area by placing emergency scene tape around the damage part of the building.
