RYAN TOWNSHIP (SCHUYLKILL COUNTY), PA - On July 1st at 03:00 hours the Ryan Township, Englewood and Altamont Fire Companies, Shenandoah ALS and Ryan Township Ambulance were dispatched to a vehicle accident in the area of mile marker 126 on Interstate 81, just north of the Frackville Exit.
Altamont Engine 367 went on scene and found a vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer. The tractor trailer was off the roadway and down the embankment. The tractor trailer ran into the bridge side wall prior to going over the embankment. The crew of Engine 367 examined the tractor for damage and a fuel leaks. Englewood Engine 369 and Englewood Squad 363 arrived on the scene and checked on the driver. The driver was out the truck and found walking about the accident scene. Shenandoah ALS arrived on the scene and examined the driver. The fire fighter provided traffic control by setting up a new traffic pattern
